RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process begun by the second Vaticin Council. Its purpose is to help those interested in the Catholic faith learn more about the importance of Jesus in their lives and in the world, while at the same time becoming familiar with the Church and our beliefs.

The RCIA was begun at St. Leo Catholic Church in the fall of 2001. Thanks to the efforts of the members of the parish and the Holy Spirit, the program has been very successful. There have been numerous parishioners who have been sponsor "companions" for all the people going through the process.

Inquiry sessions for the RCIA program will begin on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 7:00pm in Martin Mattingly Hall. The inquiry will meet for 6 Monday evenings. The inquiry is a time to come together to learn about the Roman Catholic Faith and ask question. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith or would like to become a full member of the Catholic Church plan to attend the inquiry sessions. Contact the parish office if you have any questions.

After the 6 inquiry sessions those who wish to continue will join the Sunday morning RCIA program.
